I'm still a disorganized mess, but this group has helped me develop my brand, find a clear direction for my business, and understand what matters most to me — I didn't know what I didn't know! I've learned tools like Tally, Canva, ChatGPT, and Claude, launched my own website, and built relationships with people who understand my struggles and help each other succeed. Our sales are now quadruple what they were before the course, and we're on track to exceed my pie-in-the-sky financial goal by a whole bunch — it was well worth the investment, and I'd do it again in a heartbeat!

Katie's program has given me the clarity to make business decisions with confidence knowing that I am working to build the business that fits into my life instead of fitting my life around my business. This program encompasses all of the foundational steps I only wish I had taken the time to complete in the beginning instead of putting it off for "when I have the time". What resonates with me most is Katie's approach that focuses on building your business and your customer around your unique maker style and lifestyle goals. I believe in the program so much, I decided to join Katie's team in an effort to support Katie's vision of helping laser makers build businesses they love to own.
Hi, I’m Katie.
When I got my laser, I did exactly what a lot of makers do.
Tumbler. Ornament. Cutting board.
Whatever caught my eye.
Spaghetti, everywhere.
Which is especially funny because I’d already spent 20 years in corporate retail—including J.Crew, Victoria’s Secret, and Bath & Body Works—working in planning, merchandising, pricing, and strategy.
I knew how to build a business. I just wasn’t applying any of it to mine.
And eventually I realized something:
Being great at using a laser and knowing how to build a laser- products business are two completely different skill sets.

Why doing all the “right” business things still isn’t adding up to a business.
Why having zero customers doesn’t mean you’re starting from zero.
Why making, posting, and hoping keeps sending you back to the beginning.
Why the same business advice doesn’t make sense for every laser maker—even when you’re using the exact same equipment.
What needs to come first so you can stop wondering what you’re supposed to work on next.
Making.
Posting.
Trying Etsy.
Doing markets.
Thinking about pricing.
Maybe trying wholesale.
The problem isn’t that you haven’t been doing enough.
The problem is that all those decisions keep starting over instead of building on each other.
I call that Random Acts of Business.
And you don’t need another tactic to add to the pile.
You need to know what business you’re actually building—so you can finally decide what deserves your time.

Join me live and discover what changes when you stop treating your laser like the business—and start figuring out what business you’re actually building.
PLUS: Stay live until the end and I'll hand you the Spotlight Writer - one product in, one listing description out, written to sell it at the price you just set. Yours to keep.

Do it! It has been the most challenging, frustrating, rip my hair out things I have ever done.
But, (and a BIG but) it has also been one of the most rewarding projects I have ever done.
My biggest challenges have definitely been the new technology but everyone in the group has been patient, kind, and very helpful. Finally got website up (after what felt like the longest pregnancy ever!) and I can't tell you how proud I am. You will learn a lot about yourself, your workflow, and be encouraged 1000% along the way. You will never know what you can do if you do nothing. If I can do it as a senior person, GO FOR IT!
